EDUCATIVE JOKE.

Written By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

A sign board outside a restaurant reads..
"Eat as much as you can, your grand children will pay the bill"
A man entered the restaurant and ate so much to a very large amount of money. He asked for a very expensive wine to wash the food down, and thereafter took a tooth pick and was relaxing...
The waiter walk to him and gave him a bill of N48,670. He laughed, pointed to the sign board & said; "'Don't u see?, ' my grandchildren will pay' "
The waiter replied, "Sir, this is not your bill, it's ur grandfathers' bill". What!!! The man shouted
As you step into d election day come 2019, think of the good of your grandchildren, and how you will affect the unborn generation positively. Vote for the best person.
Be wise with your vote, and save Nigeria.

TEACHER

*NAKED TRUTH*

Written By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

One day, a school teacher wrote on the board the following:
*9×1=7*
*9×2=18*
*9×3=27*
*9×4=36*
*9×5=45*
*9×6=54*
*9×7=63*
*9×8=72*
*9×9=81*
*9×10=90*

When He was done, he looked back at the students and they were all *laughing at him  because of the first equation which was wrong.*

Then the teacher said the following:
I wrote the first equation wrong on purpose, because I wanted you to learn *Something important.*

This was for you to know how the world out there will TREAT you!

You can see that I wrote the *RIGHT thing nine times*, but none of you congratulated me for it.

But you all laughed and criticized me because of *one wrong thing* I did.

*The lesson is:*
The world Will Never Appreciate the good you do *a million times*, but will Criticize the *one wrong thing* you do.
So don't Get Discouraged!

*ALWAYS RISE ABOVE ALL   CRITICISM.*
Don't *Look Up* to man; *look Up to God!*

MIRACLE

Miracle  poison ONION💧

Written By: Hassan Ali
*In 1919, flu killed 40 million people. * A doctor visited the many farmers who had the attack to see if he could help them combat the flu.
Many of the farmers & their family had contracted the flu and many died.
However, the doctor came upon one farmer whose family was healthy and nobody in the house contracted the flu.
The doctor asked the farmer what he was doing that was different from the others.
The farmer's wife replied that she put an unpeeled onion in a dish and placed them in all the rooms in their house.
The doctor thought that could have been the cure so he asked for one of those onions.
As he placed it under the microscope, he found the flu virus in the onion. The onions obviously absorbed all the bacteria and thereby kept the family healthy.
Now, I sent this story to a friend in Oregon who regularly contributes material to me on health issues. She replied with this most interesting experience about onions:
She said ' Thanks for the reminder. I don't know about the farmer's story but, I do know that I myself got pneumonia and became very ill. From my previous knowledge about onions, I  cut both ends off an onion put it into an empty jar, and place the jar next to myself over night.
By the morning, I began to feel better while the onion became black.
*Lots of times when we have stomach problems we don't know what to blame. Maybe the onions that we ate earlier are to blame.*

*Onions ABSORB BACTERIA* and that is the reason why they are also good at preventing us from getting *colds & flu* in left peeled in our room !!!

*And for that very reason we should NOT eat an onion that has been sitting for a time after it has *been cut open.*

*Left over onions are poisonous*

When food poisoning is reported, the first thing the officials look for is whether the 'victim'  ate *ONIONS* and where those onions came from. Most probably the *ONIONS,* are the cause.

*Onions are huge magnets for bacteria, especially uncooked ones.

*Never ever keep a portion of sliced onion over a period of time and thereafter use it to prepare food. It's not even safe if you put it in a zip-lock bag and placed it in your refrigerator. It is still poisonous

Also, do not give onions to dogs. Their stomachs cannot metabolize onions.

*Please remember it is dangerous to cut an onion and try to save it to cook with the next day, it becomes highly poisonous for even a single night - as it creates toxic bacteria which causes adverse stomach infections and food poisoning.

I am forwarding this from another person
Share this to as many  people as possible  to let them know the poisonous effect of peeled onion left over —which can cause us sick .

WHO ARE THE CULPRITS? POLITICIANS OR HOODLUMS

POLITICAL THUGGERY  IN NIGERIA

Northeast, Yobe and Borno states in particular

     By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

The word "hoodlum" here is simply described as "thuggery" in particular. Thuggery  can be an act of violence or behaviour by ruffians hired or instigated by politicians to intimidate their opponents.

The answer to the above question here is both the politicians and the hoodlums are found culprits associated with the issue of political thuggery in Nigeria.

This has convinced so many people to believe that the problems of poverty, unemployment among the youths, financial attractiveness of elective positions, the value system of wealth accumulation, the phenomenon of god- fatherism in democratic Nigeria; lack of political ideology and principles, absence of internal party democracy in contemporary Nigerian political parties and its attendant effects as well as ineffective security agency, account for the incidence of political thuggery in Nigeria.  Poverty which makes them willing tool for thuggery in the hands of desperate politicians; desperation or ‘do or die’ politics among some politicians, and the negative impact of money politics in the country’s present-day democracy.

Sadly, we failed to understand that political thuggery is a serious threat to democratic consolidation in Nigeria because it scares credible candidates and followers to sort out their choices or opinions. With this, it is very common to see some politicians giving youths and aiding proliferation of arms, ammunition and other dangerous weapons purposely for acts of criminality.

Unknowingly, political thuggery hinders public accountability of elective officers, thus, is a bane to good governance in Nigeria. It also increases the crime rate and the emergence of credible candidates in elections and a threat to the achievement of democratic dividends and exercise of citizenship rights in Nigeria.

Unfortunately, instead of them to have a pathetic situation where the leadership don't have any sense of obligation towards the citizens which is supposed to be symbiotic. To say the least, politicians at the federal, state and local government levels are the highest paid public office holders; consequently, politics in Nigeria has become prebendal and wrongly perceived as a  lucrative venture where millions of naira are invested in the electoral process and billions of naira is reaped as personal profiting interests of politicians, their supporters and political god fathers seem to be the utmost in the pursuit of the vast majority of political office holders throughout the years spent in offices.

The funniest thing about them is they don't engage their children, relatives or love ones to participate in the process of political thuggery or any sort of criminal activities but they influence the poor children through the use of money and drugs to engage in the heinous acts.

Though in the society like ours, (Northeast, Yobe and Borno states in particular ) the rate of political thuggery has reduced as a result of Boko-Haram Insurgency.

According to a research carried out by a Lecturer in the Department of Public Administration, University Of Maiduguri, Paul Y. Mbaya, on the topic, "The Implications of Political Thuggery on Socio Economic and Political Development of Maiduguri, Borno State" he revealed that "Over the years, the activities of thugs have been legitimatized and powerfully backed by the political class and unfortunately in Maiduguri most of these thugs have metamorphosed to Boko-Haram.

The findings reveal that poverty, high rate of unemployment, high rate of illiteracy among the youths and families having more children that cannot be catered for by their income are responsible for the increasing number of thugs in the State. As a result, these children have no good education, no proper home training, and no food to eat and even shelter.

These conditions they found themselves make them more vulnerable to be hired as thugs to rig elections, to kill and to engage in other social vices in the society. Similarly, thuggery in Maiduguri has caused mass exodus of people out of Maiduguri city to look for safer places because of the fear of death".

By now, both the politicians and the thugs should understand that political thuggery is not the solution and it's unfair to democracy. It's hopefully therefore, that politicians 'll shun all forms of political thuggery or influencing people into social vices.

LESSON

Food for thought.
Written By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

A group of 50 people attended a seminar. Suddenly the speaker stopped and started giving each person a balloon.

Each one was asked to write his/her name on it using a marker. Then all the balloons were collected and put in another room.

Now these delegates were let in that room and asked to find the balloon which had their respective names written on within 5 minutes. Everyone was frantically searching for their names, pushing and colliding with each other, and there was utter chaos. At the end of 5 minutes, no one could find their own balloons.

Now each one was asked to randomly collect a balloon and give it to the person whose name was written on it. Within minutes everyone had their own balloons.

The speaker began: This is exactly what is happening in our lives.

Everyone is frantically looking for happiness all over the place, not knowing where it is. Our happiness lies in the happiness of other people.

Help them Find their happiness and you will get your own happiness too.

And this is the purpose of human life... Learn to put a smile on someone's face, and you will also smile in due course .

     L E S S O N : when you're making others to succeed in life you're also a success.

POST BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY

POST BOKO HARAM INSURGENCY

PROSPECTS AND PITFALLS

By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

Boko Haram insurgency has no doubt affected people living in the entire  North-Eastern of Nigeria in different aspects of life. This is in terms of activities like farming, businesses, education, culture and many more have deteriorated.

Unfortunately, it was gathered that the Boko Haram insurgency has resulted in the displacement of thousands of people and turned others into IDPs, schools into IDP camps, cheaper life into expensive, children into orphans, mothers into widows, parents into chaos, rich into poverty, strugglers into beggars and many more.
As a result of the INSURGENCY, many children were DEFAULTED from SCHOOLING despite the facts that the government has provided the platforms but numerous of children are out of school. This is another endanger to the society because the issue of high rate of illiteracy may consider as pitfalls.
In addition, there are so many youths that are volunteering in the fight against the ongoing CRISIS in which they are named as "Civilian JTF". Some of them are trained to fight against the INSURGENCY! These youth may be used as POLITICAL thugs by POLITICIANS or to become another DISASTER to the society, God Forbid.
More so, the insurgency has resulted in the influx of NGOs to the region to offer various humanitarian aids to people. Such aids include empowerment, advocacy, rehabilitation, among others, which is commendable. But one of the fundamental problems that people are encountering is the association of different characters of workers that are strangers in society to deliver Humanitarian services, while some of our youths are adopting some of their attitude which is against ours especially an allegation to female youths.
Just of recent, there was unconfirmed report from unreliable medium circulating on the social media that Over 100 ladies working for NGOs in Borno were impregnated and infected with HIV" what a disaster to the whole nation!
Similarly, they bring about expensive life to the society by renting houses in high rate, food items and makes our people reluctant by the assistance they getting. Most of the villagers negligence from farming activities and businesses always patiently waiting for food stuffs and other services from NGOs workers which is another pitfalls.

Though, human mind cannot effectively deal with chaos. The mind is programmed and designed to create order when confronted with many objects. So, someone may create this for his personal interest to tarnish their reputation.

The security also have allegedly contributed negatively by taking advantage of securing the IDPs or being deployed into the Region and Still, it is obvious that some female were taken out by some members of the community for abhorrent behaviors especially those that are roaming out in the street for survival.

However, the PROSPECT of Post Boko Haram INSURGENCY may observe as people have learnt so many lessons in life as a result of what they have seen so far in the CRISIS.
The commencement of Boko Haram teachings were linked with RELIGION (Islam) stressing that they are propagating the WORDS of Allah by martyrizing and convince their followers as it is the best way, while a lot of the youths embraced the movement. For now, it's clear that both the society and the government will not accept any form of campaign which link with the RELIGION affiliation.
It's hoped that Nigerians will embrace one another in respective of RELIGIOUS or ETHNIC ORIENTATION.
GOD BLESSES NIGERIA.

HEROES

TRIBUTE TO OUR FALLEN HEROES

Written By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

We both left home at 18.
You cleared JAMB
I got recommended.
You got UNIMAID,
I got NDA.
You pursued your degree,
I had the toughest training.
Your day started at 7 and ended at 5,
Mine started at 4 till 9 and
Some nights also included.
You had your convocation ceremony,
I had my POP.
Best company took you and
Best package was awarded,
I was ordered to join my platoon
With 1 star piped on my shoulders.
You got a job,
I got a way of life.
Every eve you got to see your family,
I just wished i got to see my parents soon.
You celebrated festivals with lights and
music,
I celebrated with my comrade in bunkers.
We both married,
Your wife got to see you everyday,
My wife just wished i was alive.
You were sent to business trips,
I was sent on line of control.
We both returned,
Both wives couldn't control their tears,
You wiped her but,
I couldn't.
You hugged her but,
I couldn't.
Because I was lying in the coffin,
With medals on my chest and,
Coffin wrapped with tricolour.
My way of life ended,
Yours continued.
We both left home at 18.
I dedicate this to every soldier and uniform
person out there, we don't understand
what you do and the sacrifices you make,
but know that we are eternally grateful

THE BEGINNING OF SUCCESS

The beginning of success

What a man believes he can do and gives it a try, that's the beginning of success.

By: Mohammed Jami'u

Life has its plan for every one, it only takes time for one to realise what it has chosen for him. In my believer the different between who you are and what your going to be is, what you chose to do with your time and skills. People think that you have to be educated and be more brilliant before you achieve success. I don't belief in that what I believe is that when you have the dream of achieveing something, try your luck and don't ever late failure to distract you or discourage you. Keep on trying and I assure you that success is with he who never gives up and has the faith that God is with him.  You may need someone along your journey but they don't determine if you will succeed or not because they cannot define you. You will find people along the journey who will only help to design you. Education, Training, Guidance, Tutorials, and Prayer are only elements that help you through the journey.
So don't think you can't reach there as much as a Human like you can get there, you can do it too. Success is determination that you want to be successful work your mind to the journey and there you are .
Thank you for reading and I hope it help you to overcomes your ego and doubt on what you can do too.

LETTER TO THE YOUTH ( RUWAN DARE)

BUILT THE YOUTH, BUILT THE NATION

Written by: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA VICE PRESIDENT MUYAMI YOUTH FORUM AND EMPOWERMENT

Keep your Degree in a safe custody for future opportunity, and engage in entrepreneur skills, otherwise you will die poor.

Most of the educated people in Nigeria are poor. Majority of the educated earn less than N55,000 for a salary before tax and other deductions. When the deductions are put into consideration, the net salary comes to around N50,000. The net salary then suffers from loan deductions of up to N15,000 leaving the salary at around N35,000. The landlord then demands for his N15,000 and monthly shopping takes away N10,000 leaving one with a N10,000. The bus will demand for N300 going to and from work and relatives get another N2,500. The whole salary is gone and borrowed money starts operating. The borrowed money includes short loans and salary advances.

The difference between poverty and prosperity is property. A prosperous person has property to his name while a poverty stricken person has no property to show. Using this understanding, therefore, most of the degree holders are poverty stricken, borrowing money to buy chicken and chips, pizza, and a car.The biggest excuse for getting paid such low amounts of money and having to sit and work for another person for 30 days is THE DEGREE that one possesses and that’s all. This has made most of the degree holders very poor to poverty stricken and will die that way most likely. A degree holder does not know how to generate money unless that money is generated for the employer. A degree holder is so dependent on the salary that he can do anything to get a job but will not think of starting a business of his own to employ others.Interesting Facts!

1.   A degree holder is not prepared to sell chips but is very happy to work for hungry lion (companies).

2.   A degree holder is not prepared to sell popcorn in the street but is very happy to work for Dangote outlet in the city and mum river-sides.

3.   A degree holder is not prepared to sell second hand clothes but is very happy to be employed by Zenith Bank which the business of selling stocks and looking for customers in a scorching Sun.

4.   A degree holder is not prepared to make N150,000 monthly doing his own business but is very happy to work at the till in a bank getting paid N25,000.

5.   A degree holder is not prepared to start a company and grow it in two to three years but will spend three years searching for a job.

6.   A degree holder is not prepared to sell food to students but will be happy to be reporting to a boss with no qualifications as Office Assistant as long as he is paid N30,000 for a salary.

7.   A degree holder is so eager to get out of this country and work in another country than spend time to develop his own country.

8.   A degree holder staying in a foreign land (Nigerian) is very keen to condemn Nigeria but never contributing to the development of this country.

9.   A Nigerian degree holder would rather sweep the streets of London or USA than start a business to make money in her father land – others work in people’s homes doing some work (cleaners).

10. A degree holder in Nigeria will watch porn on his laptop but never sit to write a book using the same laptop to sell and make money.

11. A degree holder will blame the government for lack of jobs even after he was on government bursary for him to have his degree.

12. Nigeria is blessed with young people who have master’s degree and others are doctors in different technical fields such as IT and Engineering but all of them have failed to create a cartoon character or develop a movie from the same instead very happy to buy Tom and Jerry for their children thereby promoting American and UK.

A school I visit, there is a man that is of very humble background. He does not speak English but sells Coke, Fanta and Sprite at N80 each making a profit of N10 on each drink. He also sells chips at N50 making a profit of N17 on each portion. Not less than 80 students buy chips and a drink every single day. This means he makes a profit of N27 for a drink and chips and a total profit of N2,160 per day…every single day. In ten days he makes a profit of N21,600 in twenty days N43,200 and in thirty days N64,800.The degree holder working in a bank at the till gets a salary of N45,000 every month.
Why are the degree holders poor?Because they have decided to pride themselves in a degree and failed to think better than a man who does not have even a certificate to his name.Degree holders spend their time liking articles on linked In and Facebook but never have any care in the world to implement what they like. Poverty starts from the mind, a mind that just likes things but never to implement those things. If you want to progress, keep that degree and start thinking better than someone without a degree. There's no white collar Job anywhere bro! Be prepared to get your hands dirty and work like an ox for your business. Your hard work will pay off.

Think Success!!! Think Entrepreneurship!!!

                                        Yours Sincerely.....

DEATH

*"AMAZING STORY. ABOUT DEATH.*

Written By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA
*A man had a dream,  in that dream he saw  a lion which was chasing him. The man ran to a tree, climbed  it and sat on one of the branches. He looked down and saw that the lion was still there waiting for him.*
*The man then looked to his side where the branch he sat on was attached to the main tree and saw that two rats were circling around and eating the branch.*

*One rat was black and the other one was white. He observed that very soon the branch will fall on the ground; the man then looked below again with fear and discovered that a big black snake had come and settled directly under him. The snake opened its mouth right under the man so that he will fall into it.*
*The man then looked up to see if there was anything  he could hold on to for him not to fall down. He then saw another branch with a honeycomb. Drops of honey were falling from it.*
*The man wanted to taste one of the drops. So, he pulls out his tongue to taste one of the falling drops of honey, he observed  that the honey was amazing in taste,. so he wanted to have more tastes and as a result, he got lost into the sweetness of the honey. He had forgotten about the two rats eating his branch away, the lion on the ground and the snake that was  lying right under him.*

*Suddenly when the branch broke he remembered all the dangers and woke up from his sleep. Since this was a unique dream, the man went to the leader of the community to know the meaning of his Dream.*

*The leader, after prayer said, "The lion you saw is your Death. It always chases you and goes where ever you go.*
*The two rats, one black and one white, are the night and the day. Black one is the night and the white one is the day.*
*They circle around, coming one after another, to eat your time as they take you closer to Death.*

*The big black snake with a dark mouth is your  Grave. It's there, just waiting for you to fall into it.*
*The honeycomb is this world and the sweet drops of honey are the luxuries of this  World.*

*We like to taste a little of the luxuries of this world and it's very sweet. Then we want to taste little more and then more. Meanwhile, we get lost into it and forget about our time, we forget about our Death and we forget about our Grave. Beloved,  this is a clarion call to preach  before it's too late,  time waits for no man,  you only have this second,  but not this minute,  not to talk of this day,  how are you sure that tomorrow is yours? What excuse would you give not to preach,  time is not on your side,  that is no longer tenable, tell the world that the end time is near,  if you can't go to the streets to preach,  then use this medium,  use your data for the preaching and not on irrelevant issues,  Allah said "if you are ashamed of me before men, I will be vise versa"*.
may God bless you.

CHILD

Praise your child

By IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

1. Praise your child, even if they get 4/10 in exam, praise your child in front of others.

2. Never make your child feel that he is useless. Never favour one child over the other.

3. Every time we speak with our children speak with respect, say "thank you", etc. Don't use slang i.e gimmi instead say 'please give me'; use clear words, be polite and never swear. (Prophet said, do not use slang as it will decrease your respect).

4. You need to bear in mind when your child is young that this is just a child, don't take away their playing time by treating them like an adult. If we do this, they will rebel in life.

5. We need to assist our children to make decisions. He or she must be taught to make decisions. Acknowledge them, guide them by talking to them, if they want to go for something, organize the plan for them.

6. Whenever you have decisions to be made ask your child of his or her opinion. For example, if you are going to buy a car, ask their opinion, where they like to eat, or what colour they like for a car, this develops the habit of consultancy in them.

7. Depending on the house we are living in, we would perhaps have a corner; write the name of the child there, as it be their territory. Put their certificates on the wall; this makes them confident of themselves.

8. Teach your child to follow you to read salah. Lead them rather than instructing, it's a more powerful way. What your child sees you doing they will remember forever. Start instructing them to read salah at the age of 7, this will help them and make it easy for them to follow when they reach puberty when it becomes compulsory on them.

9. We need to teach our children how to put forward their opinion, how you would disagree to a point. Don't use swear words when you disagree on anything as this will inculcate in your child as he is watching you being aggressive. Children have much more grasping power than us and they pick up things very fast.

10. Encourage your child to ask questions, and try to answer each question they ask else they will get it from a wrong source. Praise their questions at times.

11. Always fulfill your promises on to your children. Do not make big promises which you cannot fulfill; this makes them develop a habit of making false promises. If you fail to fulfill any promise, explain the reason why.

12. Very important to teach our child how to develop skills of being a member of a group. Team work is very important; this teaches them to give chances to people in life rather than always competing.

13. Make dua for your children. Even if they have gone astray, pray for them.

14. Tell them you might fail once, but never lose hope. Teach them how they should react to a failure.

15. Apologize to your child if you have made a mistake, this teaches your child to repent to Allah. Don't raise ifs and buts when you are wrong; there are no ifs and buts when it comes to repentance.

16. Have a few surprises for your children, to praise their deed of good, give them recognition at home, that this surprise is for you for so and so good you did.

17.We need to make sure that we train our children to read a portion of Quran daily, according to their capacity.

18. Tell your child repeatedly that you love them, tell them how gorgeous they are and how important they are to you, hug them, its a sunnah to kiss your children. Also teach them to always appreciate any legal gifts by saying thank you.

May Allah (swt) bring tranquility and happiness in your family!

Ameeen YAA ALLAH.
