VIRTUOUS WOMAN

SOME GOOD MEN ARE POOR, SOME ARE REACH
Some ladies today do not want to work on any marriage. They want a ready made man who will take away all their poverty in a day. They secretly pray for a man working in an oil company or is a successful business man, earn in at least six figures, has a company car or his own personal posh car and lives in a duplex at minimum, at worst, 3 bedroom flat.
Now listen young lady, the good man you want is not in that category! What? Yes! That man who will give you the love, affection and respect you truly deserve doesn't usually come with a posh car! He comes with his vision, struggling to find his feet and hoping with your help, he will make something great out of his life.
Here are the reasons you should think twice before marrying a ready made man. That man has made it without you. You are nothing but a piece of property to him. He knows your greed.
He knows you don't really love him, if you do, you wouldn't be attracted to his success first.
Men are not daft. They know when a lady wants them for their money and nothing else. He has listened carefully to your conversation.
He knows you have nothing sensible to add to his life except to collect his money and show off.
He knows your respect is fake, it is due to the money he gives you and when the money is gone so will your respect. So he keeps working hard to feed your greed, never having time for you and the children.
He shouts you down when you talk because you do not have solution to his problems, you rather create more.
He believes you are a dummy upstairs.
He only married you because you are
beautiful, wants you to be his permanent sexual partner and raise his children, no more. Your emotional needs and problems are not his concern..
All you need is money and he has given
you in abundance. Many women are
weeping daily in such marriages! Their greed and lust for money has put them in a permanent dungeon of pain, regret and sorrow! These women had opportunities to pick the right men for their lives but they were too proud, too selective, too pompous to pick a man they will start life with. Better marry a man who sees
you as his mate than a piece of
property!
Marry someone who sees you as his
friend. Marry someone who values your
words and respects you because you add value to his life. Marry someone at your level. Don't look for someone beyond your reach. Marry a man who will listen to you, value you, respect
you and let you contribute to his life.
A virtuous woman is not indolent. She is not lazying around looking for who to rescue her. She is smart, sharp, intelligent, hardworking, generous and a great contributor to her man's success.
Don't be a liability. Be a blessing. Be a hard worker. Let God direct you to your man. Stand by him, work with him, encourage him, motivate him, pray for him and be a part of his success.
When he becomes great and successful, he
will give you all the honour, respect
and love you deserve because he knows you were in his life to give and not just to take. Without you by his side, he wouldn't have become so wealthy and successful. He knows you are the reason behind his smile. You are
his gold and he would never let you go. Behind every successful man, is a virtuous woman
and that virtuous woman is you!

National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)

Nigerians on Tuesday berated the National Identity Management Commission over its decision to charge for the replacement and renewal of the National Identity Card.

While some mocked the policy, calling it a renewal of citizenship, others wondered why the agency would issue such a directive when a majority of Nigerians had yet to get their cards.

The NIMC had on Monday via its Twitter handle @nimc_ng, stated that Nigerians who lost their ID cards would pay N5,000 to replace them, while those whose cards expired would pay N3,000 for renewal.

Bring education back to our schools.

          WE WERE NOT TOLD
We spent several years in school
From kindergarten to Higher institution
Just to wear this uniform..

But we were not told...
That the uniform does not guarantee quick employment.

Three weeks in orientation camp
With paramilitary drilling, all because of this uniform,
Still we were not told that the drilling is not a yard stick for quick employment.

Early morning bath in the cold..
Rushing to the parade ground..
You dare not miss the first line of the anthem
You will have to give proper explanation to the soldiers,
Awaiting you with their heartless punishment

Yet we were not told..
That the government has destroyed the Nation decades ago
Climbing trees,
Jumping poles,
Crawling under dangerous wires,
Running and matching in the sun
All because the state governor is coming to visit the camping ground
And there's need to impress the nation

Yet we were not told...
That it's just a waste of time
Sharing toilet with more than 40 corps members
Risking our lives to please the nation

Yet we were not told...
That our names are not on their list to benefit from the national Treasury.
From camp to place of primary assignment,
Working from Monday to Friday with no coins in our pockets

Yet we were not told...
That the sacrifices are not recorded in their book.

Finally we passed out and face the employment market
But we were not told that age is a barrier
4years working experience would be needed

We were not told that education is what we need not schooling
We were not told that schooling will only produce a graduate with certificate but education will make a product with something to produce.

Our teachers lied to us that a good CGPA is all  what the society need.
They lied to us right from kindergarten..
That we must study hard to have a good result but not to have good education.

We were not told...
That the man who invented college didn't go to college.
Oh we were wrongly informed through our education curriculum.

Many lies told...
Many brains washed..
Lots of wrongs in our curriculum
Forget schooling and get education

Enough of learning computer on the board
Enough of learning physics on the board
Enough of learning mechanical/electrical engineering on the board
Enough of learning agriculture on the board
Enough of schooling

NYSC POP BATCH C STREAM 1 2018

*CONGRATULATIONS TO US ON OUR POP*
PARTING FOR PEACE; THE TEARS OF DEPARTURE.

How joyous is it when the year long dream finally comes to reality? How enthusiastic is it when the sailor finally reaches the shore after many stormy voyages on the sea of life? How excited is it when the hunter finally gets home after the darkest night toiling with his life in the hands of the god of death? How on high spirit is the fisherman when he finally reaches the shore with net breaking species of fish?

Indeed, it was a time with the mixture of ups and downs; hope and despair; a time of winter and spring; seasons of rain and harmattan; a time of joy and sorrow; a time of happiness and sadness; a time of success and failure; a time of merry sounds and mourning sounds; a time of best and worst; a time of weeping and laughter; a time of suspense and relief; a time of dark hours and light hours; a time of days and nights; a time of sin and holiness; a time of temptation and triumph.

A time so bothersome and burdensome; a time so tiresome and wearisome. A time so tempestuous and stormy. A time of pain. A time of tears. A time of being moody. A time of sunshine. A time of cold. A time of rain. A time of harmattan. A time of sowing. A time of groaning. A time of suspense. A time of fiction. A time of faction. A time of painful tales. A time of sorrowful moments. A time of pessimism. A time of solitariness. A time of being forlorn. A time of mistake.

A time of goodness. A time of joy. A time of happiness. A time of relief. A time of merriment. A time of party. A time of optimism. A time of winning. A time of triumph. A time of celebration. A time of jubilation. A time of beautiful mien. A time of sweet memory. A time of enjoyment. A time of jollification. A time of victory. A time of melodic songs. A time of Perfection. A time of correction. A time of improvement. A time of edification. A time of forwardness. A time of thankfulness. A time of splendour. A time of feast. A time of radiance.

Of all times seen and experienced; it is on a high note we say, *'we came; saw and conquered.*

Tell me what has a beginning that does not have an end. Every story I have come across is of a beginning and an end. Once a prologue precedes a text or story, of a truth, an epilogue will certainly come afterwards denoting an end point. *NYSC BATCH C STREAM 1 CORP MEMBERS* has *FINALLY COME TO THE END* of our service to *OUR FATHER LAND.*

It is like a story. Indeed, taking a flashback at some events of the past will exhume some moments that will tear up the heart and render the eyes to tears.

In all, we have met new faces, kept new friends, started and broken relationships for reasons best known to us. Going through the huddles of morning parades, SAED lectures and training, Inter Platoon Competitions, Carnival, receiving our posting letter to our various PPA with varying joys and disappointments, PPA issues, contact with the new environment, CDS meetings, clearances and many more. *NOW WE CAN SAY WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH ALLAH THAT LOVED US.*

Many of us will stand flowing in joyful tears beholding the departure of *TRUE FRIENDS* kept for the past year. I look into all the faces I have met and seen; played with and spoken with; greeted and being together with, that finally we have to say *BYE-BYE* though not yet .....GOODBYE.  Hmmmmmm...

Shall we still really meet again? When my heart lingers in quest and question; in thirst of my best friends and loved ones, those we have done this journey together for peace and war, where will I find them?

My friends and loved ones, leaving is indeed painful, I must confess, I confess my love for you all. I wonder if memory can capture all that had transpired among us. Can I still remember all that had happened? You have indeed been wonderful and meritorious. You are great!

*BAUCHI STATE 2018 BATCH C STREAM 1 CORP MEMBERS, you have been a wonder set. Indeed, *WE ARE THE UNSTOPPABLE GENERATION.* Take it or leave, we are going out to break and make records.  We are unstoppable.

Tears roll down my cheeks as we depart. Leaving you all is painful. It is heavy on my heart. It is like a cross met to be carried. My heartbeat increases its tempo as I must leave my loved ones. *POTISKUM Corp Members, FRS CDS group members,* I love you. I will really miss you.all.

my platoon 10 members, Dambam local government members and all. Leaving is not easy but, I must.

Never be discouraged to face the future. Never leave a stone unturned. Never allow opportunities pass you by. Never allow situations and circumstances depress you. Always stay positive and be mindful that you are born for greatness. Be conscious of the fact that we all are meeting at the top. I am confident that the same Allah who has kept us this far never sleep nor slumber. He will perfect all that concerns us.

Hmmm... 'Twenty children cannot live together for twenty years', the elders say. Now I know. Bye bye. Don't say goodbye. *I LOVE YOU ALL.*

AS A NIGERIAN BE PROUD OF WHO YOU ARE

A Russian saw me in my office and said where are you from , i said am from the greatest country in the world. He looked at me with a very strange look and said let me guess u are from Nigeria , i said yes. Out of curiosity he said considering whats happening in your country now why would you say she's the best in the world and i asked him to sit down and let me tell him what he and most people don't not know about Great Nigeria and i told him these.......

 1. Are you aware that all over the world Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by
which others measure themselves? Do you know??

2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.

3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%.

4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically
earning 25% more than the median US income of $53k.
5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations.

6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK.
7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super
talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.

8. The World’s fastest supercomputer was designed by a world renowned inventor and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-blown Nigerian whose pat ency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the pat ency to the world’s fastest computer: a Nigerian.

9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are
Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.

10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for
the leadership role Nigeria played.

11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who ruled after apartheid, two of them once
lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President
of South Africa.
We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly.

12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra
Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil.

13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the
elected President back to power.

14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom
had street lights fueled by palm oil.

15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.

16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state,
Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to
Africa.

17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and
built a statue for France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.

18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before
Ireland has their RTE station.........

Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past. If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full & true picture of your Nigerian heritage.
Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he
is, or his height and position.
We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness........

Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:

19. On the 7th of May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was
made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were
Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians. The entire world still envies our uniqueness as a NATION, living together despite our ethnic diversity. One single country with over 400 languages. They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas. If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one will blow it for you.

VIVA NAIJA!!!

20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians world over and only about 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records. This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global
media.

Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody woo you into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian.
Nigerians are NOT criminals. You are NOT a criminal.
You are topnotch; second to none around the world.
I am proud am created a Nigerian, thank you God. Be proud of Nigeria wherever you go. Take out your Passport with pride. He couldn't talk and just walked away. Am proud to be a Nigerian and be from that country.... God bless Federal Republic Of Great Nigeri.

A humble request to every Nigerian

1. Don't throw garbage on the roads/streets
2. Don't spit or urinate on roads and walls
3. Don't write on walls and currency notes
4. Don't abuse and insult others, rather, be patient, tolerant and controlled
5. Save water and electricity
6. Plant a tree
7. Obey traffic rules
8. Honour and take care of your parents and grandparents , take their blessings and always respect them
9. Respect women
10. Give way to ambulance's
11. Treat your neighbour in the way you would want to be treated
12. Do not seek for corners to cut in anything you do
13. Be intentional in honesty and integrity
14. Fear God in a way that is demonstrated in your lifestyle
15. Respect every individual, regardless of race, religion, tribe or status, we are all Gods creations
16. Always seek to be part of the solution and not the problem
17. Grab every opportunity to be kind and helpful
18. Be conscious of setting a good example for younger or junior ones
19. Be content and grateful for what you have more than lamenting over what you lack
20. Be proud of being a Nigerian by focusing on the positives and acknowledging that God does not make mistakes

We need to change ourselves and not the country. Once we change ourselves the country will automatically change
If we want our children to live in a clean, safe and prosperous environment, then pledge to follow these pointers in your everyday life.

No one person or leader can change the country alone; it's you and I who can change our beloved nation, by changing our selves !
We can't have good people inhabiting a country and the Country Is bad.

DEDICATION TO ALL WOMEN AND GIRL'S

A SORRY BY A WOMAN!!
So what?
I get into an argument
with a man, he slaps me,
I feel the pain, yet they
tell me I provoked him. I
should have been quiet, I
should have been patient.
I should apologize to him.

I get into an argument
with a man, I slap him,
they tell me I have no
respect, no home
training. I should have
been quiet, I should have
been patient. I should
apologize to him.
Because I am a woman, I
don't have a right to be
angry. So, the degree of
my innocence is directly
proportional to the
degree of my silence in
the face of oppression
and brutality.....

Because I am a woman,
my husband cheats on
me, I am told to tolerate it
to save my marriage. The
barbaric and stupid
excuse is that ''it is in
their nature to cheat, I
should slim down, dress
better, cook better, pray
harder and be more
pleasant to him"

I cheat, and I am called a
whore, I have committed
an abomination, I have no
right to look elsewhere
for the love and
emotional support I lack
at home, I am an
irresponsible mother.

So I am sent packing,
from the home we both
built, with all my earthly
possessions stuffed into
a tiny box on my head. I
am henceforth forbidden
from seeing my two older
children, I'm lucky to be
allowed to go with my
little one still suckling on
my left breast. Three
years later, the little one
is tagged a bastard. Now,
my new name is "after-
three", because I am a
woman.

He is 28 and runs a
company. He's tagged
wonderful, hardworking,
focused, career oriented,
successful at a very
young age.

I am 28 and I run a
company "Hmmmm....
she is not even married,
unserious, can not order
her priorities right, a
hustler, loves money, let
her go and get a husband
oh"
And I wonder if being
successful has anything
to do with a person's
gender.

Because I am a woman,
I am not allowed to have
wits or be a prodigy, I
cannot be financially
buoyant, professionally
successful or be treated
with respect without a
man beside me.

Then I am tagged a
generous leg opener, "a
runs girl". They never see
the possibility that I
actually had to go
through ups and downs
to get to where I am,
because I am a woman.

A man looses his wife to
death and remarries a
year after, he did the right
thing, he's being praised
and congratulated for
moving on, after all life is
for the living.

A woman looses her
husband to death and
remarries after 4yrs,
"aaah! so early? Are u
sure she wasn't sleeping
with that man even when
her husband was alive?
That was why she killed
her husband. She's a
witch! Because she's a
woman. But don't
forget, that what makes a woman does not make her less human!
A Woman has
the most unique
character like salt! Her
presence is never
remembered, but her
absence makes all the
things tasteless.

This is dedicated to all women and girl child, help protect them

Nigeria stood by south Africa and the African country's at large

MANDELA TO NIGERIA...
“YOU know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not more angry than they are.

“What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your leaders punished western companies who supported Apartheid.

“What about the corruption and the crimes? Your elections are like wars. Now we hear that you cannot be president in Nigeria unless you are Muslim or Christian. Some people tell me your country may break up. Please don’t let it happen.
“Let me tell you what I think you need to do. You should encourage leaders to emerge who will not confuse public office with sources of making personal wealth. Corrupt people do not make good leaders. Then you have to spend a lot of your resources for education.

“Educate children of the poor, so that they can get out of poverty. Poverty does not breed confidence. Only confident people can bring changes. Poor, uneducated people can also bring change, but it will be hijacked by the educated and the wealthy...give young Nigerians good education. Teach them the value of hard work and sacrifice, and discourage them from crimes which are destroying your image as a good people.

(Excerpts taken from a 2007 interview with Mandela conducted by Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed).

YSSB Foreign Scholarship Selection and Screening Committee

The news of the appointment of the Yobe State Foreign Scholarship Selection and Screening Committee was received by the public with mixed reactions.
On the one hand, some were jubilating because youth are fully engaged in the whole process as a testimony to a campaign promise kept by HE Hon. Mai Mala Buni of running a government of the youth. Believing that this youth will bring new ideas on board.
While on the other hand, others were skeptical and worried, which is to the least legitimate, about the credibility of the process as to whether the committee will be as transparent as possible, making merit the leading criteria in its selection exercise.
To be candid, the opinions of the two disparate camps are both valid.
Going by the antecedents of similar exercises conducted in the past full of flaws, where mediocrity called the shot instead of meritocracy, hence, the former's optimism that this time around it won't be business as usual since the baton is passed to the youth, while the latter's pessimism rooted in the belief that the youth would do worse.
Anyway, we can't tell who's right until after the completion of the exercise. Only time tells.
I, therefore, want to implore the committee to prove the latter wrong.
It's pertinent that the committee acknowledges the fact that the integrity of its members has been put on the line. This is indeed a litmus test to them. Whichever way is the outcome, it'll have a lasting effect on their career.
All eyes is on you. The ball is in your court. Do everything within your ability to protect your hard learned reputation

Marking your self confident

A good part of getting a job is making a good impression and a good part of making a good impression is how you dress for the interview.

While considering what to wear to a job interview matters most, it is also important to consider what not to wear to make the best impression.

Keep bright or flashy colors to a minimum:
The best color for an interview outfit is black or neutral. Wearing bright colors to an interview is acceptable, if it correctly represents your personality. It is also important to consider the type of job you are interviewing for when checking out your outfits. There are lots of colors that are less dramatic that work well for business organisations.

Be careful of casual clothing:
It is not appropriate to wear a shorts T-shirts, tops, wristbands, head phones, hats and jeans to a job interview even when the weather is not conducive. Different organizations have their own dress codes and it is important to shop wisely and plan ahead.

Bold or flashy Jewelries:
Men and women should keep accessories to a minimum. Ladies should avoid wearing flashy necklaces or large sunglasses. It is important for men to be mindful of cufflinks, tie clips and belts which make you look professional.

Do not overdo your makeup
While it’s important to look to your best, loading on makeup is not the best way to go about it. Keep your look natural, avoiding dark shadow, bright lipstick or heavy foundation.

Clothes that do not fit:
It is very necessary to wear clothes that fit for an interview. If your outfit is too small, it can distract the discussion at hand and emphasize on issues that shouldn’t be professional. The same goes for clothes that are too big, everything matters including your overall appearance.

ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION

POOR ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION: WHO IS TO BLAME, GOVERNMENT OR COMMUNITY MEMBERS?

   By: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

Sanitation is the policy and practice of protecting health through hygienic measures by the use of hygienic disposal or recycling of waste.

But unfortunately, both the government and members of the community are reluctant and negligence in making the environment clean. During the military rule, people were forced to clean their environment in each and every Saturday of the month ending, but now, it seems like we have abandoned the exercise.

The government from Federal, State down to local government  are responsible to provide enabling environment like roads and drainages in other to ease people in terms of transportation system and  keeping the environment clean.

Though in some communities the government has provided roads and drainages for the water channels but sadly in some areas people are using the drainages to dump their refusals and this may lead to over flooding and the water remained stagnant. This ofcourse is creating dirty and Strong odour that can cause diseases like cholera, malaria, typhoid and so on.

The government still are responsible in making the environment clean through  the ministry of environment to take care of the sanitation exercise but this didn't reflect some areas.

Instead of the community members to volunteer for the sanitation exercise but they failed to do so too. It's hoped that the community members will volunteer in making the environment clean and the government also will improve in the services delivery.

ARTICLE ON TIME⌚

It is a mistake to think time is going. Time is not going. Time is here until the world ends. It is you that is going. You don’t waste time. Time is infinite. You waste yourself. You are finite. It is you that groves old and die. Time doesn’t. So make better use of yourself before you expire.
And one of the worst things to do with time is comparing yourself to others. A cow🐄 eats grass and gets fat but if dog🐕 eats grass, it will die. Never compare yourself with others. Run your race. What works for one person may be that which will kill you. Focus on the gifts and talents God gave you and don’t be envious of the blessings He gave others.

Both Lion🐅 and Shark🐋 are professional hunters, BUT:
A Lion cannot hunt in the Ocean and a Shark cannot hunt in the jungle
That a Lion cannot hunt in the ocean doesn't make him useless and that a Shark cannot hunt in the jungle doesn't also make him useless both have their own territory where they can do well

If a rose smells better than tomatoes, It doesn't mean the rose can make a better stew. Don't try to compare yourself to others. You also have your own strength, look for it and build on it. All animals that exist, were in Noah's ark. A snail is one of those animals. If God could wait long enough for snails to enter Noah's ark; His door of grace won't close till you reach your expected position in life. Never look👀 down on yourself, keep looking up. Remember that Broken crayons still colour.
_Keep on pushing, you never can tell how close you are to your goal...!

EDUCATION

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PLEASE SCRAP THE SERVICES OF PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN NIGERIA.

Written by: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA,

For Nigerian government to succeed in educational sector, they must scrap the services of private schools in the country. This is because most of the elites take their children to private schools and that is why they don't care about the services of government schools in terms of providing quality education to the populace.

One of the major challenges is that, you can find a Wife of a Commissioner, Daughter of a Member House of Assembly, A brother to the Senator, Sister to the Wife of a Commissioner appointed as a teacher in government schools.

But do you expect them to perform their primary assignments? how do you think proper supervision would be carried out on them? how do you think if you seize or terminate their salary or job while they have god Fathers? how do you expect a wife or daughter to the Honourable to hold dusty chalk? how do you think she will feel if her friend see's her shouting? "wannan ai yawane, haba Hajiya? keda kanki kuma kina koyarwa? "

Remember, for the past 15 years most of the children that have been attended government schools at least they are performing more better than the present generation and from the experience, you will observe that the middle and the upper classes were taken their children to Government schools, because there are no more private schools by then.

For now, it is obvious that teachers at those schools (government schools) are often lacking sufficient training, lack of qualified teachers, corruption in the system, poor remuneration system, practicing truancy in their affairs, lack  of technological equipments to teach,  lack of teacher-student relationship.

Because this is dominant in public schools, in a class you can have about 90+ pupils/students if not more, with just a teacher, a black board and his dusty chalk, how then will students at the back (who are willing to concentrate) understand what the teacher is trying to explain? is he going to focus on telling those students over there to keep quite or be teaching those at the front of the class? when it comes to demonstration who will be showing them one by one? when they are giving class work, who will be assessing it by that short period of time?

Unfortunately, If you are willing to get the best  students or schools out of the country, I would tell you to go for a private school, there are private schools in Nigeria with a lot of good teachers and equipments and well equipped libraries.

There remains a huge gap between the quality of the education the wealthy receives.

Closing the gap between the education available to the rich versus what is available to the poor remains one of Nigeria’s biggest challenges.

There is need for the government to scrap Private Schools in Nigeria, so that the first class (Rich ones) who are also the governing body concentrate on the activities of the government schools for the betterment of the lower classes( peasants).

MY STAND !
Talaka kam ya shiga uku !!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA !!!

CIVIL SERVANT

LET'S CHECK THE GROUP WE BELONGS TO:

Written by: IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

   DISASTER: If you know that you're a civil servant working under government especially teacher, doctor or a nurse but you are always truant at the place of your work and your services are needed, then you are a DISASTER to the society;

    CHEATER: When you know that you're a teacher in a public school deployed to a secondary or primary school but you don't attend to your primary duty regularly and the government is not aware nor informed about your conduct while some people are out there unemployed. Then you are a CHEATER to the society;

    WICKED: If you know that a person is not doing the right thing but you  failed to correct him instead you're always gossiping about him and even inviting people to hate or envy him, then you're a WICKED person;

    GREEDY: if you know that you're a civil servant working in both Public and Private sector but you refused to resign from neither of the two for another Nigerian to benefit, then you are a GREEDY;

   THRIFTY: If you know that you are among the kind of people that usually collect bribe before doing or performing their primary assignment, then you are a THRIFTY;

   CRUEL: If you know that you are among the people that change the names of candidates that scored the highest marks in a job interview and replace them with your candidates, then you are CRUEL;

   FAILURE: If you know that a person didn't deserve to be voted in any capacity but you intentionally support his candidature because of your personal interest, then you're a FAILURE to the society;

   : If you know that you belong to or fall among the aforementioned groups and you Immediately changed, then you're a great DIFFUSIONIST and kudos to you for serving as the an "agent of change";

INNOVATOR: If you know that when you see this article and then you'll contribute by adding your idea or reframing it, then you're a great INNOVATOR. I hailed you.

HOW TO TREAT YOUR CHILDREN

Treat your Children Fairly and Equally

Islam has emphasized that parents should be just and fair to all the children, particularly in matters of *gifts and kindness*, and it must not be that while one gets more the other gets less or nothing.

Said Allah, The Most High:
 اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
Be just; that is nearer to righteousness. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what you do (Sura Al-Ma'idah, Ayah 8).

A father might give gifts to *child A* because *child A* resembles his paternal uncles, and withhold gifts from *child B* because he resembles his maternal uncles; he might give to the *children of wife A* things that he does not give to the *children of wife B*; or he might put the children of *wife A in private school* and the children of *wife B in public school*.

The child who has been *deprived* will *not honor* his father in the future. This also *fills the hearts* of the children with *hatred, ill-will, and jealousy towards one another* and *sows the seeds of enmity*, and nothing can arise from this *EXCEPT EVIL*

Narrates No’man ibn Bashir (ra),
“My father took me to the Prophet (SAW) and said (to him), “I have given a slave to this son of mine. The Prophet enquired, “Have you given the same to all of your sons?” “No,” my father replied. The Prophet, thereupon, said, “it is not correct. Take it back.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari).

May Allah forgive our short comings and grant us the ability to be fair and just among our children.
وصلى الله على نبينا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين.

FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE

The moment you get out of bed and wash your face and drink water (Pure Water Companies) will be counting on you and when you brush your teeth (Pepsodent, Close-up or Oral-B etc) will be earning on you.

When you Charge your phone (NEPA/PHCN) will be reading their meter and earning from you.

When you move from your house  to the office (taxi,Danfo, Okada or keke Marwa owners) will be counting on you.

If you are driving (Filling Station Owners) will be collecting their share.

When you check your (WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media) telecommunication companies will be making money on you.

So before you get out of the house you have already paid all these companies something. You have already spent money.

Let me not even talk about the rest of the day.

So if you are going to bed without making money.

How are you going to pay all these bills???

Do something about your life today.

Start thinking about how to make money everyday.

Think Residual Income. Start with a small targeted amount and grow as you go.

Start with something that will give you a little cash even if it is 10 Naira a day.

Its better than going to bed without making even a (kobo).

Let's Put our faith into action, take risks and start something!

(SALARY) alone can not solve your money problems.

You need Secondary Sources of income to balance.

(SALARY) is a (MEDICINE) for managing (POVERTY), it doesn't (CURE) it.

Only your (BUSINESS) or (INVESTMENT) Cures Poverty.

Let's be Financially Intelligent.

WHO IS A MAN

  Ⓜ Who is a MAN?

A man is the most beautiful part of God's creation.

He sacrifices his dreams for just a  smile on his parents' face.

He spends his entire pocket money on buying gifts for the lady he loves, just to see her smiling.

He sacrifices his full youth for his wife & children by working late at night without any complaint.

He builds their future by taking loans from banks & repaying them for his entire lifetime.

He struggles a lot & still has to bear scolding from his mother, wife and boss.

His life ends up only by compromising for others' happiness.

If he goes out, he is careless.

If he stays at home, he is lazy.

If he scolds his children, he is a monster.

If he doesn't scold them, he is an irresponsible man.

If he stops his wife from working, then he is an insecure man.

If he doesn't stop his wife from working, then he  is somebody who lives on his wife's earnings.

If he listens to mom, he is mama's boy.

If he listens to his wife, he is, his wife's slave.

If he does not play  he is too serious, stern and stiff.

If he plays, he is a joker who never matures.

If he dresses well,  he is extravagant and a possible womanizer. If he doesn't dress well, he is a loser who is not a gentleman.

If he helps his wife, he is taken for a fool. If he doesn't help his wife, he is cruel and wicked.

Respect every male in your life. You will never know what he has sacrificed for you.

Worth to every man to make him smile & every woman to make her realise a man's worth!

BEAUTY IS NOT ENOUGH

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain

      A little lesson for girls/ladies

Dauda picked up his phone and called Maryam (the lady he wants to marry)

"Hello! Maryam, am in my family house now. You can come over let me introduced you to my mum."

Maryam was happy, she jumped up and down on her bed.

Is your mum at home now?

She asked with a lot of excitement, trusting that  Dauda's mum will accept such a beautiful girl like her.

"She went to the market in town but she will be back shortly. Please hurry up and come over."

She threw her phone on the bed, picked up her towel and rushed to her bathroom.

45 MINUTES LATER

She was seated in a bus. The bus conductor was still calling for more passengers.

A woman in her mid fifties walked in to the bus.

"please my daughter, let me sit close to the door while you shift in because of my load, please"  said the woman.

Maryam replied
"Madam please don't disturb me ok, I came first before you enter this bus right? If you don't wants to sit down inside you better go and find another bus."

The mid fifty woman felt embarrassed, but she didn't utter any more words.
She squeezed herself in and sat down quietly.

35 MINUTES LATER...

"We are at the last bus stop, come down sharp sharp" said the bus conductor.

They've gotten to the final bus stop.

Maryam and the woman were standing under the sun, waiting for  bike.

Suddenly a bike came their way. They both beckoned on the bike man at the same time

"Taxi!"

The bike man took a reverse and Maryam rushed towards the bike while the woman came behind her.

"please, my daughter let me enter the bike because of my load, am expecting a guest soon and I have to go and put something on the fire for my visitor, please." Said the woman.

Martam looked at her angrily and said

"Madam, them send you come for me this afternoon? Abeg ooo tell them say you no see me oh!"

She entered the bike and the bike man drove off to her destination.

She got to Daudas family house, Dauda gave her a warm embrace.

"I believe my mum will like you, who will reject such a beautiful girl like you?"

Maryam smiled believing Dauda's mum will love her, after all she's a beautiful girl.

They were both seated waiting for Dauda's mum.

Dauda's mum walked into the sitting room, and to her greatest surprise she saw the same lady that spoilt her day sitting on her chair.

"Dauda, what is this mannerless thing doing in my house?"
"Ah! Mum, she's the girl I talked to you about" he protested  looking confused.

Maryam was already soaked in shame.
Her hands and toes were already vibrating.

Dauda's mum explained all that happened to her son.
Dauda was so disappointed at Maryam. And that was the end of their relationship.

Maryam soaked her pillows with tears that night, her bad character has shattered her hope.

"Beauty is not enough"

With all your beauty sister, add character.

CHANGE

When Nigerians hate a leader

Written by :IBRAHIM MUSA BABA

Whenever the person I love is in charge, everything is always right.
Whenever the person I have hate is in office, everything  is always wrong.
     This is no longer funny.
It is not taking us anywhere.
When Nigerians hate a leader, they do it in a way that they see nothing achieved by him. Not only that, they do anything they can in order to convince you to do them same.
Likewise, if they like a leader,  he always is right. The wrong things are overlooked and sometimes even interpreted in a positive way to please ourselves.
I don't know why we are like this.
We know the difference between right and wrong.
Pride, I guess or the notion of "I am always right, the person I support, can never be wrong!!!...
Everyone must support what I support and believe what I say".
Please, this is NIGERIA, not a football club!!!.  It is not an inter house competition, premier league or la Liga.
This is about our future, about us!!!
Whenever they go wrong, our criticisms will help them.
Whenever they are right, our love and support will help them too.
Why are Nigerians  usually the best , outside the country among others?
We are wonderfully made.

Let's change the way we think too, for a better Nigeria!

SCHOLARSHIP ALLOWANCE

STOP COMPLAINING FOR REFUNDING SCHOLARSHIP ALLOWANCE!
(CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME!)

It's not longer a news that most of Yobe State Civil Servants that have recently received scholarship allowances are expected to refund the money to the state government or they can't get their this month's salary.

Sadly, most of the victims are clamouring for the action taken by the state government complaining that there are some people that were sent abroad to study and most of them are the sons and daughters of some top government officials spending millions of naira on them but for a civil servant to receive just  20-30 thousand as scholarship allowance is something tremor. Many people are currently complaining over the action but the truth is for a country to be successful in the fight against corruption "change is to begin with me/you".

Despite the facts that the state government has earlier written boldly on the Scholarship Form that the allowance is mainly for the students that are not in the civil service payroll but people have neglected the instruction and filled the forms. The truth is if the state government will be blamed for MALTREATMENT then we should also blame ourselves for being GREEDY. Though I don't know if the state government is paying money for those that are in the In-Service but the truth is we should allow our younger generations to enjoy the allowances instead of congesting the system which can easily lead some students to lost it.

It was found out that the refundable money will be used to pay of those students that didn't get their own yet. It's remarkable!

Be wise, smart and think critically, is a message!

INTELLIGENCE AND WISDOM

I wish I had known these  profound distinctions between Intelligence and Wisdom!!!

1. Intelligence leads to arguments.
Wisdom leads to settlements.
2. Intelligence is power of will.
Wisdom is power OVER  will.
3. Intelligence is heat, it burns.
Wisdom is warmth, it comforts.
4. Intelligence is pursuit of knowledge, it tires the seeker.
Wisdom is pursuit of truth, it inspires the seeker.
5. Intelligence is holding on.
Wisdom is letting go.
6. Intelligence leads you.
Wisdom guides you.
7. An intelligent man thinks he knows everything.
A wise man knows that there is still something to learn.
8. An intelligent man always tries to prove his point.
A wise man knows there really is no point.
9. An intelligent man freely gives unsolicited advice.
A wise man keeps his counsel until all options are considered.
10. An intelligent man understands what is being said.
A wise man understands what is left unsaid.
11. An intelligent man speaks when he has to say something.
A wise man speaks when he has something to say.
12. An intelligent man sees  everything as relative.
A wise man sees everything as related.
13. An intelligent man tries to control the mass flow.
A wise man navigates the mass flow.
14. An intelligent man preaches.
A wise man reaches.

Intelligence is good
but wisdom achieves better results. May we continue to grow in wisdom.

BANKING HALLS

INTELLIGENT ROBBERY, WITHIN BANKING HALLS:"

Written By: JAMES RAMOS

Experience With an unarmed robber in a Banking Hall"
I have a neighbour who sells foodstuffs. She travelled for d new year & so instructed a relation to pay in the money(130,000) into her Diamond Bank Account...
She was in the Banking Hall, Warehouse Branch, Apapa, with the money in her bag. While filling her teller, someone asked her if she was paying in & at which she said yes. She later joined the long pay in queue.

After a moment, and with d queue practically not moving, a young man, dressed in corporate suit (all thought was d Bank's cashier) came close to her and in a low voice asked for people who were paying above 100,000.

About five people stepped out and he asked them to follow him a few meters away from d queue. They all thought he was d Bank's staff, out to offer help.
He collected all their money, the completed tellers & asked them to wait on the line, so he can go in and stamp their tellers.....

And so the man left. They waited & waited endlessly, not knowing that he had long exited d Bank, through d rear exit, with their over #650,000.00.

It was after d seemingly unending wait they decided to report d matter to the Manager, who had to come down... checked the CCTV footage & behold, the gentleman in suit, was neither d Bank's cashier nor even a staff !

The security guard confirmed it was the third time such was happening in that same Branch alone !

My fellow Nigerians, we must BEWARE of activities of fraudsters, particularly in d Banking Halls !!
We should pls share to avoid others falling victim.

Gender

FEMINIST THEORIES

 Written By: Lawan Isa

All people are created equal, women are essentially the same as men

Based upon principle of equality of opportunity and freedom

Gender not determined by sex

Inequality stems from unequal participation in spheres outside of the family, primarily education and paid labour force

Seek social changes that will create a meritocracy where social rank is based on merit and in which hierarchy and inequality are both inevitable and acceptable

Faith in rationality

Education is means to change

Oppression of women is not a structural feature of capitalist economic system

Look to state to bring about women's liberation through legislative measures - equality through law

Programs advocated include affirmative action, equal opportunity employment, employment equity, pay equity, parental leave, subsidized daycare

professional and middle-class women

National Action Committee on the Status of Woman (N.A.C.): umbrella organization representing 500 hundred feminist-oriented women's group

National Organization of Women (N.O.W.)
Marxist Feminism

Primary source of female oppression is the capitalist economic system, i.e. inferior position of women linked to class-based capitalistic system and family structure within this system
Women’s subordination was a consequence of the introduction of private property, women became the property of men and the first oppressed class
Women’s oppression caused by their economic dependence in the family but also in the work force, this keeps an exploitable reserve labour force
Women have always had unpaid work (housewife) and most low paying and boring jobs
Women must have equal participation in the economic production process
Propose wages for housework, developing a system for paying women directly for their household work
Sexuality is to feminism what work is to Marxism
  working class women
Socialist Feminism

Integrate issues of gender and class, i.e. unite concepts of patriarchy and capitalism, seeks to eliminate both class and gender oppression
Women's oppression caused by their economic dependence
Economic production systems of sexuality, childbearing and childrearing, care of other members of family and sick, and gender socialization must all be looked at
Investigate interface between women’s paid labour and domestic labour lives
Traditional sexuality script is emblematic of gender power relations
Abolition of gender and class are goals where socialism will only occur with the liberation of women and women's liberation will only occur under socialism
  working class women
Radical Feminism

Women live under conditions of inequality in most systems of economic production regardless of whether capitalist, socialist or communist
Gender is the fundamental form of difference, little emphasis on class or ethnicity
Patriarchy, women’s oppression and domination by men, is the fundamental oppression and at the root of other isms
Patriarchy pervades public world of formal economic production processes but also private worlds of family, marriage, sexuality and biological reproduction
Introduced the phrase the personal is political and then also the political is personal
Social change is necessary in both private and public worlds
Seek to replace existing gender roles with androgyny, any resulting differences would then be human not gender differences
Some focus specifically on the male physical, psychological and social control of female sexuality as the basic cause of female subordination
Some focus on the tyranny of reproductive biology from which women must be liberated, and thus they seek to eliminate biological sex as basis of social differentiation
First to introduce the following as feminist issues:  reproductive and contraceptive rights, abortion, reproductive technologies, sexuality expression and experience, sexual and physical violence against women (rape, sexual harassment, incest, pornography and domestic violence)

Cultural Feminism

  A branch of radical feminism
Identify suppression of distinctive or different female qualities, experiences, and values as the primary cause of women’s subordination
Don’t focus on elimination of patriarchy but rather seek to create an alternative female consciousness where existence of gender differences are stressed by the identification, rehabilitation and nurturance of women’s qualities
Idea of women’s cultures emphasizing consensual non hierarchical decision-making processes, valuing responsibility, connection community, negotiation, altruism, nurturance, from this we have ecofeminism and pacifist feminism
Pornography is the theory, rape is the practice since believe that male sexuality if selfish, violent and women hating, linking male sexuality as violence against women with pornography
Advocates lesbianism as a personal and political choice that expresses ultimate rejection of patriarchy
Separation from men in every way (some only advocate separation from male values), i.e. create institutions for women and sever relationships with men

Postmodern Feminism

all women are different and thus can never generalize
a feminist theory is not possible

Multicultural/Global Feminism

recognizing all other differences not just gender
Focuses on inclusion of oppressions based on gender, class, ethnicity, sexuality, able bodiedness and age
Intersection of gender with race, class and issues of colonization and exploitation of women in developing world

SOCIAL MEDIA

Learn how to interact with people on social media. Some of your "friends" here are probably as old as your father, mother, aunt, uncle, brother and sister.

Some of them are the CEOs and MDs of your dream company. Some of them could be the catalyst for a life long professional and personal transformation.

Treat everyone with dignity and respect they deserve and even the ones you think they don't deserve.

Under no circumstance must you resort to abuse, name calling, caustic comments, slandering and others.

Don't be in the bad book of your future.

Appreciate diversity, respect other people's opinions and political inclination.
Instead of saying "People that support others are senseless", why not put it as " I don't understand why people still support others"?
You don't have to respond to every unpleasant, opposing, disgusting post. You have the option of scrolling down/up or even "unfriend" such person.

You have no moral obligation to correct everyone's mistake and people are not under any obligation to echo your views about a subject matter.

I know of a friend that literally aced an interview for an important position because the interviewer knew him from Facebook. Imagine if he had been utterly disrespectful to the person while enjoying the relative anonymity that the social media gives.
Social media is not a battle ground where you should fight people. Remove people that you don't like from your "friends list". Avoid passing negative comments and if you must correct any anomaly, you can always inbox the person in a very calm, matured and persuasive manner.

Be cautious, the internet never forgets!

BE WISE TO STAY ALIVE

TRUE STORY

Men don't cry, but I cried!

I sent my car for service in preparation for my trip to Benue since Wednesday. The vehicle was not returned until yesterday evening.

I was very angry that the mechanic delayed my planned trip but was also glad that he brought the car back for me to leave this morning.

So I decided to drive around to be sure the car was in good condition for the trip, this was about 7.30pm...I drove up to the Games Village Traffic Junction and the car stopped. I tried starting it and it won't start, so parked, called the mechanic, who told me he has gone home but will see if he can make it back to me.

So I decided to start the car once more and Bang! The car burst into flames...I ran out of the car in  shock and confusion. The next episode of this mishap is the reason for my narrative.

From the moving traffic, I saw men and boys park their cars and were rushing to my burning car with fire extinguishers, some where struggling to open the bonnet.

From a building inside games village, I heard women screaming and passing buckets of water, bags of detergents. I saw a guy removed his t-shirt, soaked it in water and was trying to open the bonnet with fire covering his hands.

In all this, I was just standing by a tree, with my eyes staring into space, till I saw the flames go out eventually and I heard someone asked...where is the owner of the car?

It was then and only then that I stepped forward and found myself being hugged and consoled by strangers, Nigerians, Muslims, Christians, traditionalist and may be atheist.

All joined to wish me well and they turned to their cars or homes one after the other. The last being the guy who suffers a deep cut to his leg where he was helping out.

As soon as he left, I turned to see what was left of the car and I counted 13 fire extinguishers that were used, other items that were used and also the charred remains of someone's t-shirt that was used.
Just when tears started forming in my eyes, I noticed I was not still alone, there were two policemen who helped to salvage the burning car and have chosen to remain with me till I get family and friends to come take me away.

At that moment, my belief that a New Nigeria is possible was renewed and  I was  proud to be a Nigerian.

I woke up this morning thinking, where and how did we get so divided and polarised as a nation, when before my own eyes I saw Musa, Obi, Femi, Andrew, Mike all helping to salvage my car, without caring who I was. I thank God for his mercies and for the good people of Nigeria...together we shall overcome.

-True story by Lawan musa
-My personal opinion, I think this is what we should send to groups once a while instead of politics & some uncalled for msgs.

#God make Nigeria great again.
